You should visit Pernštejn Castle

I visited and you should visit Pernštejn Castle too.

I got 32 Top Destinations in South Moravia map when I was in Strážnice with my wife. We already visited almost 6 or 7 of those destinations. I am sure you are familiar with most of them. And we decided to visit them this summer as much as we can.

But I noticed one interesting name in the map, which is not marked as top destination and it is located on the edge of South Moravian region, close to Vysočina region. It is called Pernštejn! I Googled it and forgot about it. After few days I saw post on IDS JSK page, about how it is easy to get there. So I decided to go there.

Bought tickets from České dráhy; from Brno-Králova Pole to Nedvedice (107 kč for 2 person, one direction, total duration 51 min, 1 change at Tišnov station). Also if you are couple or family with kids, then best option is to buy 24 hours tickets from IDSJMK, all zones except 100+101, which costs 150 kč and valid for 2 person and 3 kids. 

As soon as you arrive to Nedvedice station you can see the castle. From photo hard to see, but it is there...

Then you can walk to Parking for visitors under castle. Walking from station to parking is amazing. I will not say anything, you just have to go and see it. From parking you can purchase ticket (60 kč) for "train" which will take you directly to castle. Castle located in very high place, so it is not so easy walk :). But I do recommend to come back by walking down. Also, there is free WC in Parking.

You might ask already: "why should I visit this castle after all?". Well good question, but the only way to get answer is to travel there. Believe me! You will not regret any minute of it.

Important note: before leaving town back to Brno, don't forget to feed ducks in the small like, near to  Restaurace pod Pernštejnem. They were very hungry :(
