Ahoj All,
I noticed post with photo of tower, on the official Facebook page of IDS JMK (click here). IDS JMK posts often local destination, in order to boost local tourism and put information about how to get via train or bus.
So, this Saturday, after breakfast we decided to go there. Best part of this trip is that Čebín village is not located far from Brno. From Brno Kr. Pole train station every hour train (S3 line) departures and it takes 17 min to reach the village.
Once you reach the village, you will have to hike till tower. I was using Mapy.cz application for navigation and it pretty accurate with all details. But once you reach the high hill forest, it can get confusing. So, follow the footpaths and trees with sign. MOST IMPORTANT: you have to be careful and caution about ticks. Wear proper hiking shoes and socks, use spray etc.
Whole experience passing true forest is amazing, depending on weather. You can pick up some wild strawberries too.
Once you reach the tower, there is open cash register, where you can buy ticket (20 CZK) and also few souvenirs.
Total height of the tower is 38 m and it makes tower on 432 m from sea level (for more click here). This does not much sound a lot, but considering all stairs and even top deck has network mesh metal structure, you basically standing on transparent surface. Which makes whole process scary. But the 360 degree view from tower is staggering.
We took different, shorter and less ticks :) path back to village center. From where we got on bus (Number 321, check timetable in advance) to reach train station and back to Brno Kr. Pole.
